Playing by madrid rules We’re not a Catalonianpolitics website, and we don’t even have a view on whether Catalonia should be independent, but sometimes it’s easier to understand the workings and failings of the media if you watch how it behaves on a subject you’re not directly and closely involved with. Last week was one of those weeks. Below is a clip from yesterday’s edition of Sunday Politics Scotland. It features a man called José Rodriguez Mora, who was introduced to viewers neutrally as simply an academic from Ed... http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/2/908496486?-41039:27194:4
Different sort of Barça News today. I got the opportunity to speak to Jason Pettigrove, Senior Sub Editor of Marca English, the biggest sport newspaper in Spain. As newspapers are often criticised for struggling to give accurate reports, and Twitter is increasingly becoming the gospel for breaking news, Jason and I had an interesting chat with regards to the current state of journalism. We focused on the particular cases of Cristiano Ronaldo vs Real Madrid and Neymar vs FC Barcelona / PSG, and how these have propelled AND even changed the absurd manner in which journalists are reporting news and how it's digested. Who's to blame? Fake news newspapers? Glory hunting journalists? Players & clubs for not following traditional protocol? WATCH & COMMENT on this great debate which will certainly...

https://www.facebook.com/classicfootballtv Real Madrid - Barcelona 0-5 February 17, 1974. Matchday 22, season 1973/74 Barça’s legendary title win in the 1973/74 season came after 14 titleless years. Barça’s team, built around the genius Dutchman, Johan Cruyff, brought the Liga title back to the Camp Nou. The season’s most memorable game was Barça’s 5-0 victory over Real Madrid at the Bernabéu. Barça steamrolled over an impotent Real Madrid. Barça’s dominant display was so convincing that a football daily newspaper in Madrid titled their lead story with Madrid in the hands of Barça. They were rag dolls. It's the game that Barça fans will never forget. R. Anton Garcia-Abril works both with reordered nature and with prefabricated systems; with dense and tense structures. From the small scale of the house to the bigger scale of the city. From individual private wills to collective public needs. Where the construction systems used not only solve a structural problem but also configure the space, define the materiality, provide the expression of the architecture, and use the available resources in a responsible way. Along with the technical discourse, socio-economical and landscape issues are brought into the debate, where architecture should contribute much more and much better. Anton Garcia-Abril, (Madrid, 1969) is a European PhD architect and associated professor in the School of Architecture in Madrid. He received the Spanish Academy Resea...
